The incidents you cited are all 40+ years in the past, and maybe I'm gullible enough to believe that we take more precautions now...and that maybe the dangers of what they were doing weren't fully understood 40+ years ago. Pregnant women smoked and drank liquor then, too. Without regard for the impact to their unborn child. Because people didn't know that it was dangerous.<BR/><BR/>Sad, yes. Horrific and barbaric, looking at it through 21st century eyes, definitely. And I haven't a clue how they justified it then.
