This guy could be onto something.
Or, on the other hand, he could just really really need to get laid.
It's not like I haven't written stuff like this about various comic stories with unfortunate, and obviously unintended, subtext. So I won't, you know, start spewing death threats. But, still. Dude. Take yourself in hand. You'll feel better afterward. I swear to God.
I don't know. Could be one of two things --
ReplyDelete(a) as any graduate student of literature can tell you, if someone really wants to find a subtext in something, they'll be able to do it. That's what subjectivity is all about.
(b) Geoff Johns really does hate Kyle as much as I do (and everyone should) and he's a much more brilliant and subtle writer than I thought, and the whole sequence was meant to show irrefutably that from this point forward, Kyle is Hal's bitch.
Either way, I can live with it.
